You can stay at the Shorebird Centre comfortably and inexpensively, either in a self-contained unit or a bunk dormitory. In doing so you help support us.
Whimbrel Wing:
self-contained with ensuite and fully equipped kitchen 
Bedroom with two single beds plus a fold-down settee in the adjoining lounge area.
Tariff: $85.00 for two (non-members) or $65.00 (members).
Additional person: $25.00 (non-member) $20.00 (member)

Sandpiper Suite:
Self-contained with ensuite and fully equipped kitchen.
Bedroom with four bunk beds and fold-down settee in adjoining lounge area.
Tariff: $85.00 for two (non-members) or $65.00 (members).
Additional persons: $25.00 (non-member) $20.00 (member)

Bunk Dormitories:
Two six-bunk, and one four-bunk rooms. Shared kitchen and ablution areas. A spacious lounge overlooking our own wetland, has excellent views of the Coromandel Ranges, and the town of Thames across the bay.
Tariff: $20.00 for each member, $25.00 for each non member.
What to bring:
All accommodation areas have comfortable mattresses and covers, pillows and pillow-slips.
You need to bring your own bedding, although if you are travelling light bedding can be hired for $5.00 per person.
You need to bring your own food. Kaiaua, seven kilometres north of the centre, has a small shop for groceries, a gas station, an excellent fish and chip shop and a hotel which serves good pub fare.
The nearest supermarket is in Thames – a 30 minute drive from the centre.
