The shop at Miranda has an excellent and extensive selection of bird and nature books as well as gifts and clothing. You can download an order form which includes many of the shop items. Morton, J. Seashore Ecology of New Zealand and the Pacific 2004 Bateman

The culmination of work over a long lifetime, this is the definitive volume on the subject and will long remain so. The main focus is on rocky coastline ecology, and so while it significantly updates sections of Morton and Miller’s The New Zealand Seashore, it does not entirely super cede that volume.
